Naiade is a publicly owned company and was founded in 1987 by Mr Patrice Hardy.
In the 2006-2007 Financial Year turnover increased from Rs 2067.47 million to Rs 2,413.77 million and profit increased from Rs 586.52 million to Rs 708.01 million.
As of 2008, Naïade owns and manages 9 hotels on three islands in the Indian Ocean and this year it celebrates its 18th birthday.

In 2005, the business opened its doors to the Mauritian Stock Exchange to the Board of Directors.
In the same year, the Company spread to other islands with the acquisition of one hotel in the Maldives and in 2007 two hotels on Reunion Island.
